Lions Struggle to Tame Tigers

Muddy field conditions and a very good Chagrin Falls football team made for a difficult home finale and senior night for the Lions. It was difficult to move the ball and the passing game was virtually nonexistent, but through a combined effort, the Lions backfield accumulated for 155 yards on the ground. Leading rusher Josiah Rogers (13 att, 72 yds) scored the only touchdown for the Lions on a 52 yard scamper in the 4th quarter. Marcus Henderson added 44 yards on 8 carries. Chad Sonkin had 21 yards on 5 carries, and Peter Shapiro had 12 yards on 3 carries. Defensively Julian Turner grabbed his 4th interception of the year and Trae Williams led the team with 8 tackles including 1 for a loss.

This Friday, the Lions travel to Painesville Harvey to close out the season.

GO LIONS!!!
