The Orange Lions stressed all week about staying the course, being focused and disciplined in order to achieve victory against a tough Wickliffe opponent. The Lions stepped on the gas Thursday evening, and they never took their foot of the peddle.

Led by Junior QB Sean Borgman, The Orange Lion offense totaled over 400 yards of offense and 42 points. Borgman carried the football for 135 yards and 4 touchdowns, and also threw a touchdown strike to Sophomore WR Marvin Davies. Senior WR Nick Garofoli helped contribute to the route with 3 receptions for 65 yards and stellar blocking on the perimeter to pave the way for big plays.

On defense, The Lions were led by Senior LB Pablo Garcia. He had 14 total tackles, 3 of which were tackles for a loss at big moments in the game. The Lions only allowed 6 points and had a goal line stand early in the game that shifted the momentum in favor of The Lions. The win marked the 5th of the season for Orange making them 5-1 overall, and 3-0 in the CVC.

The Orange Lions (5-1, 3-0) will travel to West Geauga (3-3, 3-0) for a CVC showdown next Friday night. A win for The Lions would be huge. Come out and support your Lions next Friday night in Chesterland at 7pm. We need you there and we need your support!
