The Orange Lions had a tough homecoming game against the Greenmen of Aurora Friday night. Little went well for the Lions on a mud covered field, and it was difficult to stop the Aurora ground game. Josiah Rogers got the Lions on the score board in the second quarter with a 4 yd run, cutting the Aurora lead to 21-7. Rogers' touchdown run capped off a 20 play, 80 yard drive, containing receptions by Demo Solaru, Chad Sonkin, & Julian Turner. Peter Shapiro added 17 yards on the ground during the drive. The Lions other scoring drive occurred on the first play of the fourth quarter when Dominic Vitali connected with a diving Julian Turner, his 5th TD of the season. Peter Shapiro was the leading rusher for the Lions racking up 42 yards on 13 carries, while Chad Sonkin added 33 yards on 2 carries. Sonkin was also the leading tackler, scoring 8 total tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

Orange hopes to bounce back next Friday as they travel to take on the Kenston Bombers for their homecoming game. Kickoff is 7pm.

GO LIONS!!!
