Post date: Oct 25, 2016 5:26:08 PM

The Orange Lions came out of the gates on fire last Friday night. On the very first play from scrimmage, The Lions caused a fumble that would be recovered by Junior OLB Antonio Baez. The Lions capitalized on that drive when Senior RB Randy Crosby scored a touchdown from 9 yards. On the ensuing kickoff, The Lions again caused a fumble, that Antonio Baez would again recover. It did take long for The Orange Lions to get back on the board as Junior RB Jake Sonkin scored from a 1 yard away putting the Lions up 14-0.

With halftime drawing near, Geneva started to pass the ball to get the game closer. That risk would prove to be fatal as The Lions would intercept the ball twice for touchdowns within the last 2 minutes of the first half. Sophomore DB Armon Frey and Senior LB Randy Crosby would both take an interception to the house for touchdowns putting the Lions up 34-7 at the half. The rest of the game would be dominated by The Lions as Jake Sonkin would scored again, as would Junior RB David Panell. The Lions would end up improving to 5-4 on the season as they look towards rivalry week.

Next week nothing more needs said. It is rivalry week against T.T.O.T.!! We will see you over there for the kickoff at 7pm! Come and support The Orange Lions as they look to end the season on another positive notes! GO LIONS!
