Orange falls to 4-4 in an effort at Perry

Orange came into the game against Perry looking to take everything from Perry. And at the beginning of the game, all of the momentum was in Orange's favor. The opening drive Perry stalled at mid-field when Junior FS David Panell dove and intercepted a pass over the middle. That play set up the Orange offense as Junior RB Jake Sonkin would go on to put The Lions up 7-0.

With the scored going back and forth throughout the first half, The Orange Lions went into halftime only down 10 points. When the second half kickoff ensued, Orange looked to capitalize on what was great field position. However, on the very next play, Perry intercepted the ball and took it for a TD. That is when the wheels would fall off. The ensuing drive, a fumble recovered by Perry went for a TD. By this point, Perry was in command and would end up winning big.

Next week, The Orange Lions look to host the Geneva Eagles in what is a revenge game for The Lions. Kickoff is set for Friday at 7pm. Come out and show your support for our Orange Seniors on Senior Night! Go Lions!
