Last Friday night was the night The Orange Lions were to get back on track, but they came up short after a valiant effort down the stretch. When Wickliffe needed a big run, they seemed to get it as they scored on runs of 67, 62, and 59 yards. The Lion defense had much success early on stopping the ground game of Wickliffe, but miss tackles and poor execution led to Wickliffe's 350 run yardage campaign.

Junior RB Jake Sonkin led The Orange Lions with 2 touchdowns, while Senior QB Palmer Hanley targeted Junior WR Nick Garafoli for a score also. When The Orange Lions needed a score, they struggled to execute. When The Orange Lions needed a stop on defense, they struggled to execute. Not executing when it mattered cost The Lions their third loss pushing them back to 3-3 and 1-2 in the CVC.

This Friday night, The Orange Lions will host the West Geauga Wolverines (4-2) in what will prove to be a very big game. Please come out this Friday night and support your Orange Lions at the Lions Den; Kickoff is at 7pm! See you there!
