After spotting the Blue Devils 13 points to start the game, Josiah Rogers connected with RaShaan Arnold for a 22 yard touchdown pass, making the score 13-7 in the 2nd quarter. Wickliffe answered late in the half with their third touchdown taking a 19-7 lead into halftime. A scoreless third quarter was led by the Lions defense and the following players with 7+ tackles each, Demo Solaru, Tashawn Chavis, Peter Jacobs, Chad Ingber, John Marshall, Austin Garcia, & Trae Williams. Then with 4 minutes left in the game, Rogers broke free for a 56 yard touchdown run, cutting the Blue Devil lead to five. After a fumble recovery by Chavis, the Lions took over on their own 33 with 1:30 left in the game and went 34 yards on 5 plays to the Wickliffe 33. With 8 seconds left, the Lions took two shots at the endzone, but Rogers passes fell to the ground as the clock read 0:00.

The loss drops the Lions to 3-5 (1-4). Next week is the final home game of the year and Senior Night as the Lions take on rival Chagrin Falls. Be there early to cheer on the seniors in their last game ever at the Lion's Den.

Go Lions!
