The grind continues as Orange drops 3 straight heading into rivalry week

The Orange Lions went into Friday's game with one thing in mind: Get the 6th win, the most since 1999, on their way to 7 wins, which would be the most since 1989. However, the night did not go as planned for The Lions as they struggled in all facets of the game while lacking focus and intensity. That makes for a bad night, especially since The Geneva Eagles were playing for something big, and their focus and intensity were clear.

The Orange Lions struggled defensively as Geneva amassed over 300 yards on the ground and could not stop the old school Wing T offense. For The Lion's offense, they struggled immensely as well. Aside from some explosive plays by seniors Ryan Singer and Milan Pittmon, the Geneva Eagles stymied The Lion's offense. In what was a disappointing loss for The Lions, much was gained. The Orange Lions learned about mental toughness and what it takes to complete a full season of high school football.

This week is a special week; rivalry week! The Orange Lions (5-4 , 2-4) will host their arch-rival, "The Team Over There" (1-8 , 0-6) in what will prove to be a showdown. Throw the records out for this one! The Orange Lions have won 7 consecutive battles against their rival and look to make it 8 in a row to end the season. Come out and support The Lions for the last game of the season at The Lions Den. Kickoff is set for 7pm.

Do not forget.....We do NOT say their name over there! We say, "That Team Over There." GO LIONS!
