A Summer Trip
It was my 14th birthday on 15th August this year. Mum and dad took me to Taiwan to travel. This was very meaningful because it was my first time to go to Taiwan and it was a memorable birthday present to me.
On the first day in Taiwan, we visited the National Palace Museum, there were a total of 320,000 pieces of precious treasures. The luxury surprised me. I also climbed the Taipei 101, which was the tallest building in Taiwan. I enjoy watching the beautiful night view of Taipei when I was standing on the Observatory of Taipei 101.
On the second day, we went to admire the wonders at Pacific Coast and the blue water. When we arrived at the Yehliu scenic area, the tour guide guided us to have a close encounter with the Pacific Ocean. When the car just stopped, I couldn’t wait to take off my shoes and rush to the beach. As I was concentrating on the colourful and strange cobblestone, a wave came to me and was going to drench me. My father and I were very anxious and I quickly ran away but fell down accidentally. I said, ‘It doesn’t matter.’ However, when I tried to get up, I was tripped over by a stone. My whole body fell into the sea, and I was so scared that my heart seemed to stop beating. Dad quickly rescued me and said jokingly, ‘You have taken a shower in the Pacific Ocean today!’ We all laughed.
The trip to Taiwan did not only allow me to appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also taught me a lot of historical knowledge, which is very really memorable.
