Dear Connie,
Thank you for your letter. I am sorry to hear about your problems. On behalf of Miss Lam, I am writing to give you some advice to help you deal with your problems.
My first suggestion is eating fruits as a snack. You said you ate a lot of snacks so that you gained more than 5kg. If you want to lose your weight, you may try to eat some healthy fruits like apples and grapes when you want to eat some snacks. They not only help build up your health, but they also make you stay away from getting diseases.
What’s more, you are suggested doing exercises regularly. It seems that you always get stressed when you do your homework or study for tests. Therefore, doing exercise may be a good choice for you to relieve your study stress. When you do exercise, your body produces endorphins – the chemical in your brain that helps you feel relaxed and happy. So, if you feel depressed or your self-esteem is low, just try to do some exercise. It really doesn’t take up much time – just 20 – 30 minutes a day.
My third suggestion is joining some activities. Although you are not good at doing team sports, individual sports, such as jogging, running and cycling, can be your good choices. These activities can help you keep fit and be active. Also, they can help burn calories in your body and lose your weight.
Finally, you are suggested finding your hobby. For example, dancing can be an interesting sport to you. It is also a good exercise. When you are doing something you are interested in, you will feel relaxed and great. When you love a sport and you do it often, it can help your body keep burning calories and fat, so you can lose your weight quickly in the end. If you are lucky enough, you may get some new friends who are doing the same interests as you do. Hobby and friendship can always keep people out of stress.
I hope that the abovementioned suggestions can be helpful to you. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email at 123@gmail.com
Yours sincerely,
Helen
