A letter to request a local fitness centre to donate old fitness equipment to your school
Dear Sir/Madam
Request for Donation of Old Fitness Equipment
I am writing on behalf of the Sports Club of St. Alison Secondary School to congratulate your fitness centre on being renovated. As we know that your centre is going to have a new image and there will be some unwanted sports equipment, we would be delighted if your centre can kindly donate the old equipment to our school. Our school is planning to expend our gymnasium in order to promote sports at school. The donation of the old equipment not only can benefit our school but also your fitness centre.
To start with, donation of old equipment can help our school save money. The prices of fitness equipment such as treadmills and exercise bikes are too high for our school to bear such a burden. If your centre can donate the old and unwanted equipment, it will definitely help our school save much money.
Second, donating old sports equipment can avoid wastage of equipment that can be used. Those old equipment takes up much valuable space in the fitness centre. We don’t want the needs to be thrown away. If your centre can donate the equipment to our school, we must make good use of it. This action is both environmental friendly and meaningfully.
In addition, donation of the old equipment does help promote sports at school. There will be more professional sports equipment for training. It can absolutely attract more students to join our sports Club. Moreover, students can do more exercise to release their learning stress. Thus they can be more concentrated on lessons and they will enjoy better physical and mental health.
Furthermore, donating the old fitness equipment can help your centre build up a good reputation. Your generous act can establish a positive image as an ethnical social enterprise. This let more students in our school know about your centre. It is an alternative way to promote your centre, to attract more potential customers.
From what I have mentioned, both the school and your centre can benefit from such action. We would be grateful if your fitness centre would consider our request favourably. Thanks for your kind attention.
Yours faithfully
Christ Wong
