Our Debut in the Annual Music Festival
Did you guys go to the Music Festival last week? If not, let me tell you some of the highlights that day. Let me briefly introduce our band to the new comers of my blog first. Our band is a local team called J5 Star, which consists of 5 members including me as the lead singer, Kevin as the drummer, Mark and Jason as the guitarists and Ken as the keyboard player. Our band plays Cantopop as Cantopop is slowly fading out. We wanna promote it with music. This is also the main reason why we joined the Music Festival. Of course, the other reason is to let more people know about our band. What’s a better way to promote our music and bad to people?
Back to the performance, the performance was quite good. We performed 3 originals and 2 hit covers. It was all quite good until we performed our last song which was a new original song called Hopeful (It’s up on the iTune and YouTube now! Go hit it up!) Suddenly, the background music and the microphone connected to the guitar were off! Worse still, I forgot the lyrics as I was shocked and panicked. (I was pretending to laugh but yet my heart inside was like about to explode!) Luckily, our lovely audience started to sing it with us. (Oh gosh, I just can’t forget that moment!) The audience were super supportive and energetic and the atmosphere of the performance was again high as well. We’re all so pleased!
Anyway, I think that it is still our responsibility to check the equipment before every show! Thank God the show wasn’t killed by our careless mistake! However, for a better show next time, I’ll check all the things twice! But it’s okay. We still had an awesome time and a wonderful experience! Hopefully, we’ll join the Annual Music Festival next year as well. If you didn’t join the festival this year, make sure you come to this special event next year! I’m sure you won’t regret.
