As part of your student counsellor training course, the school counsellor, Ms. Lam, wants you to write a letter of advice to another student.
Dear Connie,
I am Chris Wong, a student counsellor trainee. I am sorry to hear your weight problem. I am writing to give you some advice to solve your problems.
First of all, about your problem of overweight, I suggest you eating more fruits, such as Dragon Fruit, apple and kiwi fruit. About eating apples, you should eat an apple before meal so that you can feel a little bit full when you are having meal. Then, you will eat less. Also, you can eat fruit to get some fibre. It is good for digestion.
Second, I know you are not good at doing team sports. I have a suggestion for you. You can do exercise regularly and do individual sports, such as hiking, jogging and cycling. Therefore, you can do sports to control and reduce your weight.
Last but not least, about eating junk food, you’d better eat more good food. I suggest you giving up eating junk food, including fast food and deep-fried snacks. It is because those foods do not have any nutritional values after processed. Therefore, you had better eat more fresh food instead.
I hope that my four suggestions can help you. Should you have further questions, please feel free to let me know.
Yours sincerely,
Chris Wong
