Why take part?
Get fed up with your routine holidays? How about spending a day joining our walkathon? It is not only meaningful, but also good for your health. Why you need to take part because it can help raise money to build schools in China. In addition, it is a great opportunity to get close to the nature, breathe some fresh air and enjoy the stunning scenery while walking along the trail. Along the route, you can see a wide variety of tress, colorful flowers and different kinds of animals. Also, you can jump at this chance to improve the family relationship and friendship by inviting them to take part in this meaningful activity. After that, we can share what we have seen and experienced in the walkathon. We can help the underprivileged, the poor children in the poor and remote areas in China to have a chance to learn.
The route of the walk
What you can’t miss is the opportunity to Visit Hong Kong Science Park. The starting point is Sha Tin City Plaza and the finishing point is Hong Kong Science Park. Sha Tin is so convenient and accessible that we choose the route in Sha Tin. While walking along the route, we can see the beautiful scenery and feel the breeze which is really refreshing. The duration of the walk is approximately 3 hours which is definitely suitable for people of all ages. The highlight of the event is the concert at the finishing point. We will invite some pop singers to perform in our closing ceremony and we do believe you must enjoy their performance.
The work of Walk to Build
Founded by 13 devoted volunteers in 2006, Walk to Build aims at helping to raise money to build schools in China to provide education to the poor children in remote areas. Also, the charity provides the school with some useful facilities and teaching resources to assist teaching and learning. They have built 5 schools already and helped more than 1500 children to receive education.
