Introduction to Case Western Reserve HPC
Computationally intensive research is supported through the operation of High Performance Computing (HPC) resources at CWRU. Services include provisioning user access to our computational resources, assistance in optimizing use through training and direct support, and providing answers to questions regarding daily HPC activities. HPC services are offered by the [U]Tech's Research Computing and Cyberinfrastructure (RCCI) group. Please let us know if you need assistance in pre-award activities related to budgeting and how we can help further your research goals.
Access to the cluster is restricted, and available from the campus network or through VPN (vpnsetup.case.edu), if connecting from outside campus.
If you have utilized the HPC resources for your publications, please acknowledge HPC in your HPC-Assisted research works as showed:

Logging Into the Cluster
To log into the research-focused Rider or Markov cluster, use either OnDemand, X2Go, or Terminals to access rider.case.edu or markov.case.edu using your CaseID and SSO password (sometimes with Duo authentication as well)
250+ compute servers, including 60+ GPU nodes, and 7000+ processors.

Managing Group Accounts and Membership
Visit the HPC's AMARA account management site to 'apply for', or to manage a research group account. The website is only accessible to a faculty PI that wants to apply. Existing users can access the portal to manage an account or check their resources. You can get the overview of the various HPC/RCCI services, resources, information and price structure via our billing tool, iLAB.
