How do I take a screenshot?

Chromebook

  • Ctrl + Show Windows key - Takes a screenshot of the entire screen.

  • Shift + Ctrl + Show windows - Takes a screenshot of a portion of the screen. Click and drag the crosshair icon to highlight the part of the screen you want to copy. Screenshots will be in the Downloads folder under the “My Files.”

Mac

  1. To take a screenshot, press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 3.

  2. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screenshot to save to your desktop.

Windows 10

Entire Screen

  • Press PrtScn key or Fn + PrtScn key - This copies the entire screen to the clipboard, ready to paste into any app.

  • Windows key + Print Screen key - Saves the entire screen as a file to the Pictures folder.

  • Windows key + G key - Calls up the Game Bar with different options for taking a screenshot or video.

Window

Alt + PrtScn - Screenshot of the active window is copied to the clipboard.

Screen Snip

Windows key + Shift + S - Activates the Screen Snip tool from where you can make a Free-form snip, Rectangular snip, Window snip, or Full-screen snip.
