"The Devourer of Light can inflict the Decay effect on players, and upgrades to get a poison-infliction ability as well, and can spend up to level 3 to gain a massive bonus to health and damage if they happen to be the last mafioso left standing."

You can inflict a player with the Decay effect for 4 phases, increasing their damage, lowering their spellpower, and causing them to take damage over time. This power has a 3-phase cooldown.
When you smell the air around you, you sense the presence of entities of light, strong yet vulnerable to the forces that embody you. It is clear that these beings are corruptible, that dying at the hands of the Decay will forever tarnish their very essence. If such as being were to die while suffering from the Decay and be raised from the dead, they will surely join you by your side.
