"You, the rather frightening assistant, seek to find potion ingredients for your sinister concoctions. You work for your master, Dr. Essren, in a hut on the Black Road between Detlas and Ternaves. "

The Assistant was an independent role used in Wynn Mafia. Its goal was to brew four (formerly all) of the potions listed in a given recipe book.

The Assistant was given the following powers:

• You are given a recipe book containing a number of potion recipes. In order to win the game, you must brew four of them.
• If you're carrying a potion ingredient, it will not consume inventory space.
• Every phase, you can conjure and use a healing potion on a selected player, healing for five health.
• You have a passive 1 health/phase regeneration effect.
• You may throw a potion every phase at up to two players for 2-3 damage.
• You may inflict a player with the vulnerable effect for one phase, but it has only three uses. The vulnerable effect nullifies any protections a player might have and increases the damage they receive.

Its upgrade contained:

• All potions available for purchase (e.g. healing potion, regeneration potion) are now 75% cheaper.
• Additionally, your passive regeneration is buffed to 3 health/phase.
