One possibly unique mechanic of Wynn Mafia were weapons, which could be equipped and used to deal damage to other players. For items, see items.
In short, weapons could be obtained in the same way items could: purchasing one when it's presented for purchase, or finding one randomly. Players were given a weapon slot in addition to the three inventory slots, and the equipped weapon was what was factored in when attacking.
Every phase, players were given the option to attack another player. The damage dealt would be equivalent to the weapon's damage along with any additional factors (such as the empowered status effect). The injured player would have a chance to identify the attacker (varied from ~5% to ~50% based on circumstance according to the game document, although those numbers can be changed for balancing), as well as a diminished chance for players in the same location as the attacker to identify that the victim was attacked. Attacks were far less likely to be noticed at night.
Do note that the ability for spears to deal damage based on alignment is technically game-breaking and, for those who like to re-host this game, should be revised.
