In order to help with any Woodstown Band event, the school district requires you to complete volunteer paperwork and be approved by the school board as a volunteer each year. Those assisting with events on school property (e.g., football game concessions, band camp refreshments, band banquet, etc.) will need to only complete a Tier 1 application.
Those assisting with off-campus events (chaperoning at competitions and away games, etc.) will need to complete a Tier 2 paperwork. This includes an application, online training modules, and a background check. You will need to complete the online training each year even if you have done it before. If you have previously been approved by the board as a volunteer and your background check is on file, you do not need to do this again, and if you have completed a background check for another reason (job, etc.) you need only to submit your clearance letter or certificate.
Please read the instructions for Tier 1 or Tier 2 volunteer applications and complete all paperwork (this can be found in the links on the instructions) between July 1-Aug 1 2019 in order to be approved by the school board in enough time to assist with our September events. Paperwork may be returned to the band mailbox in the music room or given to Mike Massaro or Christine Nowmos. If you have any questions about the volunteer process, please contact Christine Nowmos at nowmos.c@woostown.org.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to volunteer as a Woodstown Band Booster member to help your child have a great experience in the Woodstown Instrumental Music Program!
