It's been a couple of weeks so there's lots of new info in this update. 

This week we will be having regular practice Tuesday night, 6-9. Drumline - BE SURE TO BE THERE ON TUESDAY! We have a lot of work to do with the new cadence. 

On Thursday, we will be parading over to Shoemaker school for the Back to School Bash. We will meet at 5:30 and dismiss at 8:30  on Thursday. Wear your white band shirt and black shorts if you have them. We will be playing Louie, Louie and Part 2 from the show. After the 'party' we will return to the field to finish practice. We will be starting Part 6 (the finale!)

Our first football game is coming up on Thursday, August 31. We will meet at 5 at the High School. Battery will have to get their gear from the stadium so we can parade to the field together at 6:30. We will be playing:

If the opposing school brings a band, they will perform pre-game. We stand at attention for any other bands' performances. We cheer them as they pass. We are respectful and encouraging in every way. Student leaders will go over to introduce themselves during 2nd quarter and invite the other band to sit in our bleachers when we perform. 

We will perform our show, Take Me Home, for the first time during halftime. We will Do Parts 1-5. (Part 6 will have to wait for the next game, I think.) We will not wear uniforms. Hopefully, our show shirts will be in by then. 

The game starts at 7:00 and will be done around 9:30. We will give you the 3rd quarter off so you can get snacks if you want. YOU MUST BE BACK BY THE START OF 4TH QUARTER or I will take this privilege away. If you are not using a flip folder, make sure your phone is charged. I don't want anyone telling me they don't have music. We have folders and I can make whatever copies you need. No excuses.
