It's Marching Season!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 Marching Wolverines. You will find updates here along with a current schedule and other important info. Please check back often. I recommend that you add the band calendar to your smart device so you always have it handy.
This week we will have our information meeting in the band room on 5/4 at 6:00. We will give a brief overview of what we are about, our schedule and answer questions. The parents are also included and will get a short presentation of how they can help support the band through the Boosters.
Drum line has started on TUESDAY nights with our new instructor, Mr Roger Ladd (Blue Devils, '94) and will continue throughout the summer. We will assign parts as we continue to confirm our roster.
Our staff for the coming year:
Shannon Sheridan, Director
Tim Stathokostas, Assistant Director and Woodwinds
Nicole Hitchner, Color Guard
Roger Ladd, Battery
Jason Laning, Percussion and Equipment
John Turner, Brass
Bob Williams, Booster President
We will also have several alumni assistants returning including Kiyambrea Sowell, Sammi Williams and Taylor Barrow. I'm sure we will see others stop by to help and visit before they leave for more distant schools.
Marching band rehearsals begin on June 1 and will continue on THURSDAYS up through band camp. Band Camp this year is scheduled for the week of JULY 31 - AUGUST 4. We will work 9:00am to 6:00pm everyday that week except Wednesday when we will finish early and attend the DCI show in Glassboro.
Our first commitment is the 4th of July Parade in Woodstown.
Football games and competition weekends are scheduled. Please be sure all our dates are cleared on your calendars! We will need everyone as we continue to grow.
Now, find me some mellophone players. A prize to anyone who does!
