*Make sure the patient is Web Enabled (below)
*Clicking on the yellow bubble (as shown above) will take you to the Web Enabled page. Here you can edit, set password, reset password, unlock or disable account. Another way to access Web Enable is by hitting the info tab and at the bottom of the page, you will hit options, then hit web enable.
*Patient's Username will be their email address
*Go into their chart and begin by verifying the email address. The email address is always the username unless they chose to change that . If they use the same email address with their spouse or child a different username will be generated for them by ECW. One email may be used for multiple accounts.
* Once you figure this out then you need to help give them a password. You will click the set password and give them an easy one so they can get into the system. Once the patient gets into the system with the new password then they can change the password to whatever they want.
*If updating/changing email either: Click edit and update both sections if email is username or disabled and re web enable with a new email. Please remember when a patient turns 18 years old the portal access email needs to be updated.
* If someone says they locked themselves out, you will hit the Unlock button and help reset password as well. Advise patients to close portal window and wait 15 minutes before logging in again.
