Dr. Gnirke

General Guidelines: 

• Team does not do virtual visits 

• MRI reviews are scheduled as a follow-up appointment unless otherwise noted by the team.  Please make sure this is scheduled as they leave their MRI appointment 

• If a patient calls back regarding a recent procedure and is requesting updates, they must be scheduled for a follow-up visit.

• If a patient has not been seen in 3 months or longer, they must also be scheduled for a follow-up visit

• Do not schedule for testicular pain 

• Okay to see patients of any age 

• Prioritize Medicare NP with the PAs and private insurance NP with Dr. Gnirke  

• Notify team of same-day add ons 

Appointment Types: 

• NP Slots = Brand new, non-Medicare patients only 

• IF the patient has been seen by Dr. Gnirke, Haley, or Cora in the last 3 years please schedule as F/U

• IF pt calls within 48 hours of appointment time can be scheduled in any appointment type

• PRP = Platelet-Rich Plasma 

• Send phone note to TEAM to schedule. 

• If patient cancels or has questions, send phone note. 

• Cost: $950 (1 joint) / $1200 (2 joints) 

• EMG = Electromyogram 

• To cancel/schedule, send to SX schedulers. 

• Botox/Xeomin  

• To cancel/schedule, send to SX schedulers. 

Physician Assistant Scheduling: 

• Prioritize Medicare NP and follow ups 

• PAs don’t perform EMGs or Botox (Haley is the exception to Botox – team will handle) 

Other Reminders: 

• Check phone notes first to avoid duplicates or missing info. 

• DO NOT book in template breaks where no slots are available. 

• Do NOT double book 15-minute time slots. 

When a VSON provider refers a patient to another VSON provider, the Front Desk should schedule the appointment directly without routing the referral through Spine Line.  

**Scheduling for Dr. Gnirke**

• Advanced Scheduling: When scheduling in advance for Dr. Gnirke, follow the protocol as outlined on his template and per manual.

• Within 48 Hours: If the appointment is within 48 hours and Dr. Gnirke has availability, prioritize filling his template first. Once his schedule is full, proceed to schedule with the PAs as needed.
