US Ski Team & VIP billing policy 

Policy & Procedure

Effective Date: 12/13/2017 revised 12/11/2019

Purpose: As designated providers of medical services for the United States Ski Team we are obligated to care for these team members.

Persons covered under this policy: Any person who is a member of the US Ski team or designated as a VIP per the physician.

Policy: US Ski team member’s and VIP patient’s must follow the protocol listed below to see one of our VSO physicians.

Procedures:

• Patient must identify themselves as a US Ski team member when scheduling their visit.

• Provider will let you know after the visit if the patient is a VIP

• The chart will be noted that the patient is a US Ski team member or VIP

• All required paperwork must be completed and insurance/id information provided prior to visit.

• All services will be billed to the insurance company

• Any remaining balance will be written off after insurance has paid, this includes DME and injections

• VSO will be responsible for sending a demographics sheet to Diversified indicating “US SKI TEAM” on the paper and Diversified will write off any charges to the patient.

• All accounts will be flagged with a US SKI TEAM Flag
