Dental Care After Surgery: Important Guidelines:
Antibiotics for Dental Procedures
After your total joint replacement surgery, it is essential to take antibiotics for any dental procedures for the first year. This helps reduce the risk of infection and ensures your overall health and the longevity of your joint replacement.
Timing Restrictions for Dental Work
For optimal healing and to minimize the risk of complications, we recommend avoiding any dental work at least one month before your surgery and for three months following your procedure. This precaution allows your body to focus on healing the joint replacement and reduces the risk of infection.
