Part A: Resources for Resume Writing
Purpose: It is estimated that the average person will have three to five career changes and 10 to 12 jobs in his or her lifetime. Therefore, it is important to have a working resume that can be updated with changes over time. If you are serious about getting a job, you will have resources that will help you make appropriate changes to your resume every time you have a job change. There are many resources for resume writing. They can be found through school counselors, career and technical education teachers, Job Centers and on the Internet.
Instructions: Meet with your case manager, DVR counselor, school counselor or a career technical education teacher and ask them for suggestions for reliable web-based tools for resume writing. Using the Resume Writing Website Rubric chooses four web-based tools that will be a resource for you when you write your resume and when you revise it in the future. Cut and paste the four websites below and have another student evaluate your choices using the Resume Writing Website Rubric.

Part B: Tips for Good Resume Writing
Purpose: Having a good resume could mean getting the job or not. The resume is a reflection on the writer and careful consideration should be taken when writing your resume to make the best possible impression.
