Turning 18 Your Rights & Responsibilities

The State Bar of Wisconsin has released a booklet that explains the legal changes when an individual turns 18. This booklet provides youth with information about their rights and the necessary knowledge to avoid potential problems in the future. It’s a valuable resource to use in self-advocacy instruction to assist students in understanding their rights as an adult.

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) created a presentation to walk educators through their role when discussing the transfer of rights with students and families.
