For example you can search an individual Twitter account for mentions of the words “climate" or "environment".
Terms like “net zero carbon” and “carbon neutral” are red flags. It means the candidate envisions continued use of fossil fuels, with reliance on technology that does not yet exist to capture the carbon. That means they are not willing to get off fossil fuels. Vote the Outdoors is a campaign run by the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA). The group estimates that the outdoor industry employs approximately 7.6 million people in the US and therefore holds significant voting power.
