The Carbone Variations are micro-exhibitions of four paintings. Every first week of the month, there will be a new exhibition on a theme. The four paintings are variations on the monthly theme. Each of the bunker’s facades is staged so that you can take a selfie or an art photograph.

A SUDDEN GESTURE

A sudden gesture, an idea shot down in flight, an image that flashes into my mind - all the things we experience several times a day for no apparent reason. I seize one of them, put it up for discussion between myself, myself and the AI, and then myself again, until something comes out that makes sense, that impacts the ground, buries itself or bounces up.

A SKETCH, FOUR IMAGES AND A FEW WORDS

These are the Carbone variations: a sketch, four images and a few words suspended in the void, under the benevolent eye of the mute Pythia, the one who has been silent for one thousand six hundred and twenty-eight years. There's nothing more to understand than what it's absolutely necessary to understand: on a bench, lovers hurt each other's butts, the GDP kills a lot of people, the arrow of time is a dimension gangrened by entropy, rabbits are robbers, only two sisters love each other with true intertwined love.

THE CARBONE VARIATIONS ARE COUNTER-ABSURD

The absurd doesn't lack meaning, it's the way we look at the absurd that's meaningless. The absurd is proof of our dumbness. It's like recognizing zero and infinity as two comprehensible units, when in fact they're just clear proof that we don't understand. Yet.
