LIVING PICTURE #2

The success of Living Picture #2 is undeniably due to the piece of music I chose. Many people like Philip Glass' music, which is contemporary, accessible and deep. The piece I chose from the opera Einstein on the Beach, "Knee Play 5" includes a beautiful love poem.

In addition, the minimalist and repetitive music is perfectly suited to the phase dancing.

The show ran for most of June, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I had some beautiful and amazing encounters during this time.

EINSTEIN ON THE BEACH - PHILIP GLASS, ROBERT WILSON

The music piece is a sequence of the opera of Philip Glass, Einstein o the beach, performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet's (Paris, France) in 2014. Music & lyrics by Philip Glass. Production & set design by Robert Wilson. Choreography by Lucinda Childs. Ensemble conducted by Michael Riesman.

THE UNIFYING FORCE OF LOVE

The last part of the lyrics is an iconic love story. The line "My love for you is higher than the heavens, deeper than Hades, and broader than the earth. It has no limits, no bounds. Everything must have an ending except my love for you." evokes one of my main themes: the unifying force of love.

Our universe has been separate since the origin and its dynamics tend towards a return to the one. The gravitational force and love are the two manifestations towards absolute silence, as evoked in this other line : "There was silence between them. So profound was theire love for each other, they needed no words to express it."
