Chaotic traffic jam on the shore of Lake of Lugano because of a young musician who improvises a concert in the open air.

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) - March 21, 2031 A musician coming from Saudi Arabia for an audition at La Scala in Milan is found playing Bach's suites in front of Lake Lugano. Many curious people stop by the side of the road to listen to her, causing a huge traffic jam in the southern part of the lake area.

Despite the efforts of the Kingdom, there are still many detractors to the teaching of music in schools in Saudi Arabia. For many Saudis, music is "haram", both forbidden and sacred. And many consider it more important to teach languages and sciences to the youth of the country. But since 2022, more and more students are taking music courses. This is the case of Maha A. who shows an exceptional gift.

With the agreement of her parents and the support of her music teacher, she joined the Riyadh Conservatory and learned to play the cello. Very quickly, her teachers noticed her talent, both technical and sensitive. After a single  year of conservatory education, she had reached a level that would elevate her to become a soloist. She plays Bach's music with such brilliance that when she is heard in the conservatory, all the occupants of the building fall silent.

Maha A. loves to play for her family, and several times a year she performs a few Bach suites in front of her parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, in the courtyard of the building. Every time she plays, all the neighbors listen through their windows, passers-by on the street stop in front of the porch. Even the neighborhood dogs and cats come and sit in front of her. It is a silent crowd that surrounds her in absolute silence, allowing divine music to bloom.

During her musical studies, Maha A. became emancipated: she cut her hair, stopped wearing the veil, dyed her hair blonde, dressed as a man and displayed her homosexuality, embarrassing her most enthusiastic professors who saw in the musician's eccentricities a threat to her career. After several warnings from the moral authorities, everyone expected her to be arrested. Alerted, the Ministry of Culture sent the musician to La Scala In Milan, the partner of the Conservatory, to save her from the legal problems that could be detrimental to her career.

She took the night plane and arrived at Malpensa airport at dawn, evaded the reception committee that had arrived to take her to La Scala, and jumped into a cab with her cello to go to Lake Lugano. After an hour's short drive, she arrived at Punta Pjuana..

She sits down on a bench in front of the lake, unpacks her instrument and admires the view in front of her. The lake stretches out in all its majesty, surrounded by forest. Playing in front of this luxuriant nature on the first day of spring was one of her most secret dreams. So, between the blue lake and the still sleeping forest, she lifts her bow, tunes her instrument, takes a deep breath and starts to play.

At the same time the wind stops, the trees seem to turn towards the music. Hinds, stags, hares, foxes and boars come out of the forest and stand like statues behind the musician. The surface of the lake seems to quiver with schools of fish. Birds freeze in the sky. The first notes escape into the air, run through the trees, fly over the cities and villas. The first motorists going to work stop to listen to the musician. There is no more room on the sidewalks and the small parking lot on the edge of the Via a la Poncia. Regardless, the cars stop in the middle of the road causing a monster traffic jam, in absolute silence. Only the music counts. From all over, Lugano, Melano and Maroggia, Porto Ceresio, boats, yachts, Rivas, rowing boats, pedal boats, windsurfers converge on Punta Pojana to listen to the concert of Maha A.

That morning, for more than four hours, after more than 10,000 years, humans found  the unique language of the living. In the communion of silence, a single melody rose up, crossing the solar system, the galaxy, to bump against the sky's edge and wake up a drunken god. What happened next is indescribable.
