MODERN & CONTEMPORARY DANCE

IMMERSIVE MUSIC VIDEOS

The Dance Hall is a place where anyone can dance to pre-recorded playlists, or to any Youtube or Vimeo music video.

All dance floor functions can be controlled from a control panel to the right of the small central screen.

Visitors can also dance to two dance machines, each containing around 200 dances. The one offers baroque and classical dances. The other offers modern and contemporary dances.

CONTEMPORARY BALLETS

Milena and Lalitha Carbone create several contemporary ballets each year, in minimalist 3D stagings. The choreographies are written for several dancers.

Performances take place in the dance hall, or custom installations in the Carbone Studio, or in dance halls or art galleries, upon request.

The dancers perform on stage and the audience does not participate in the ballet.

LIVING PICTURE

Based on a written choreography of about 10 minutes, Lalitha Carbone dances to a contemporary music video that is slightly longer in duration. The sequence runs 24 hours a day for about two weeks. This out-of-phase choreography, called "Phase dance", creates ever-changing combinations of dance/music/image.

It is a living work of art that the viewer can watch at any time and for as long as they wish. Experience has shown that the repetitive movements of the dance contribute to relaxation and meditation.

The spectator can also participate in the dance.

DANCE ODYSSEY

Set to a playlist of eclectic music clips, ranging from rap to medieval, contemporary, rock, jazz, classical and baroque music, Lalitha Carbone invites visitors to dance with her in improvisation to a playlist she has specially selected.

The stage can accept up to 20 dancers. The show usually lasts between one and two hours depending on the number of visitors.
