DEFINITION:
Significant action, which is important for any goal scored
GUIDELINES:
When a player is involved in a goal attack - he contributes with some action to his team to score. Example: central midfielder pass the ball behind the defensive line, the winger crosses the ball and the striker scores with head - so, the striker is goalscorer, the winger is assistant to the goal and the previous player, central midfielder – he is Key Involvement. Key Involvement can be one player or more, without the scorer and the assistant, depending how many players did something important for the goal attack. Key involvement could be also the last pass before the goal, but when it's simple pass, which doesn't create the big part of the goal, for an example: 10 meters pass by a player and his teammate scores from 35 meters - this is not an assist, but key involvement, because he doesn't create the goal with this simple pass.Â
- it's used only if there is a goal scored - to one or more players, involved in a goal attack, who contribute with some action to his team to score
- example: central midfielder passes the ball behind the defensive line, the winger crosses it and the striker scores with head: so, the striker is goalscorer; the winger is assistant to the goal and the previous player, central midfielder – key involvement must be added to him
- example: cross from corner kick, a player stops the ball with chest for a teammate and he scores - the first player, who crosses the ball from corner kick - key involvement must be added to him
- it can't be used in combination with the duels, except Air win
Key involvement must be added to the smart pass of De Bruyne - he passes the ball behind the line and Sterling provides the assist for Foden - De Bruyne creates the attack and his action is important
The player, who crosses the ball from corner kick - for him must be added key involvement, because his action contributes for the scored goal
For N.26 in red shirt should be tagged touch, ball missed feint + key involvement - even if he doesn't touch the ball, his action is significant for the creation of the goal (still the assist should be tagged to N.7)
- key Involvement could be one or more players, without the goalscorer and the assistant, depends how many players did something important for the goal attack
In this situation Haaland assists to Brandt, who scores the goal - key involvement must be added to the player of Dortmund, who intercepts the opposite pass and also to Reus, who passes to Haaland - all of them have important part of the goal attack
Key involvement must be added here to N.10 in blue shirt for his long pass and also for the other player, who supports the attack on the wing and passes the ball to Yarmolenko (who provides the assist) - all of them contributes to the goal attack
For N.22, Haller, must be key involvement, not an assist (also key involvement must be added to N.10 and N.18, who create the goal attack - important contribution for them). Haller tries to score and fights for the ball with the opposite players, he touches the ball, but his action is not so good and his contribution is not more than the other teammates, who participate in the goal attack - doesn't matter that he touches the ball last, still key involvement must be used for him, not assist
For the player, who crosses the ball rom corner kick, is key involvement and also key involvement for N.5, who plays with the ball with head next - not assist for him, because next it's own goal scored by de Light - always, when there is an own goal, the previous action is with key involvement, not assist
The player in light blue shirt, who dribbles in the middle of the pitch - key involvement should be used for him, even if some actions happened next - he creates a big and important part of the attack.
The same for the pass of the player after him, who delivers the ball for the first shot - key involvement for him too.
And key involvement should be added to N.77, who shots the ball (after the reflex of the GK, there is a goal scored). All these players contribute for the goal attack - example of using of key involvement, added to more players.
- key involvement could be also the last pass before the goal, but when it's simple pass, which doesn't create the biggest part of the goal, for an example: 10 meters pass by a player and his teammate scores from 35 meters - this is not an assist, but key involvement, because he doesn't create the goal with this simple pass
- key involvement (not an assist) must be added also if there is a pass and next a teammate dribbles between 2-3 or more opposite players and scores - again, he creates the goal by himself
- if there is an own goal scored, always the previous action (pass, cross, shot) must be with key involvement (not an assist)
- if there is a foul in the penalty area - for the player, who wins the penalty kick, it's not needed to add key involvement (even if it's scored next)
- if there is a shot, saved by the opposite GK and a teammate scores right after - it's not an assist, but key involvement
- if there is a bad touch or bad shot, which is not well directed and next a teammate shoots and scores - it's a key involvement, not an assist, because it was not the intention of the first player to creates the goal and his teammate does the biggest part of the goal
- if there is a shot, which deflects by a teammate, changes the trajectory of the ball and goes in goal - the shot must be with assist, not with key involvement, even if it is not the intention of the player - still the shooting player creates the biggest part of the goal, his teammate doesn't do anything significant, just touches the ball by chance
For the player, who crosses the ball rom corner kick, is key involvement and also key involvement for N.5, who plays with the ball with head next - not assist for him, because next it's own goal scored by de Light - always, when there is an own goal, the previous action is with key involvement, not assist
Even if the pass of Marcelo is the last pass before the goal, still it's simple pass and he doesn't create clear chance for scoring for his teammate - Kroos decides to shoot, but he creates the chance by himself with his good shot - for Marcelo it must be key involvement, not assist, because his part of the goal is not so big and important
For N.6 from Dortmund it must be key involvement, not an assist, doesn't matter that he touches the ball last, before the goal of Haaland - it's a long shot and Haaland creates the goal almost alone with his accurate shot, the contribution of Delaney is not so big
Aguero touches the ball just before Sterling, who scores - for Aguero is bad touch - he has a chance to score (opportunity also must be added to him), but his first touch is not good and it's a chance that his teammate comes to score (if he was not there, the opposite defender, probably, would clear the ball). Aguero doesn't create the chance for his teammate with his action, just he is part from the goal attack - key involvement, not assist for him (fantasy assists are not considered like assist)
Sanchez passes the ball to N.23 from Inter and he scores - it's a long shot and N.23 creates the biggest part of the goal - with this simple pass, Sanchez doesn't create a clear chance for his teammate - key involvement for him, not assist (not always the last pass before the goal is considered like assist)
The shot of Kroos must be tagged like blocked and the shot (not touch, because attribute goal could be added to shot) of Hazard next (who touches last the ball and scores the goal) must be with interception (because of the previous shot, which should be tagged like blocked). For Kroos this is assist, not key involvement, because he creates the biggest part of the goal with his shot, he has big contribution - his action is more important than the goal scorer Hazard, who just touched the ball by chance
Simple backward pass by N.11 in yellow - it's key involvement, not assist, because with this pass he doesn't create clear chance for scoring for his teammate
The is a goal scored with a shot from outside of the penalty area - the previous pass should be tagged like key involvement, not an assist, because with this pass the teammate doesn't create clear opportunity for the scoring player
N.10 in blue shirt tries to dribble and he is blocked by the opposite defender with his body, but still the ball goes to N.7, who scores - even if it was no attempt for a pass by N.10, still after his action N.7 receives good ball in good position to score, which means that the action of N.10 is very important and creates the situation for goal, so this should be tagged like an assist (added to a pass, after the offensive duel for N.10), not like key involvement
N.11 in yellow finds his teammate, N.9, in the penalty area and he scores - with his pass, N.11 doesn't create the biggest part of the goal, it's created by N.9, who dribbles very well against his opponent and scores at the end - key involvement for N.11, not an assist, doesn't matter that it's the final pass before the goal
For the player, who delivers the last pass before the shot for the goal, must be used assist, not key involvement - even if it's simple pass and the shot is outside of the penalty area (still almost on the line of it), the attacking player delivers very good ball, ready to be shot with one touch and creates a big part of the goal with his actions
In this situation should be used assist, not key involvement, for Lautaro Martinez, because he creates very good opportunity for Lukaku with this through ball, leading him in very clrear position - alone against the opposite GK (doesn't matter that Lukaku touches the ball a few times and dribbles the GK)
The pass of N.21 in black shirt should be tagged with key involvement, not with assist, because it's a simple pass (after the GK's mistake) and his teammate created the goal mostly by himself with his good shot from long distance
The goal of Kane comes after a shot by Palinha, which is blocked by the opposite defender - for Palinha should be added key involvement to the shot, not an assist
De Bruyne passes the ball to Kovacic, who scores with his first touch - it's a simple pass, but with this pass De Bruyne creates clear opportunity, well delivered ball in good position, which is ready to be shot immediately, so it should be tagged like an assist, not a key involvement (even if the shot is not from so close distance)
Pedri scores from a long distance - the pass of Yamal should be tagged like an assist, not a key involvement, because he delivers the ball in good and clear position, ready to be shot by his teammate and even if the shot is very good and from not so short distance, still Yamal creates big part of the goal with this pass
- in a situation when there is a cross, a teammate shoots the ball, the GK saves it and next another teammate scores a goal - to the first cross must be added key involvement, not key pass, because key involvement is more important event from both
With this pass De Bruyne creates a chance for Sterling to score, but he decides to pass the ball to Foden next and he scores - key involvement is more valuable than key pass and must be tagged in this situation for De Bruyne (both can't be used for the same event)
For the player, who crosses the ball rom corner kick, is key involvement (not key pass, doesn't matter that he creates chance for his teammate, N.5) and also key involvement for N.5, who plays with the ball with head next - not assist for him, because next it's own goal scored by de Light - always, when there is an own goal, the previous action is with key involvement, not assist
For Jesus is key involvement, not key pass, even if he creates a clear chance for scoring to Aguero (if he scored, the it would be an assist), because the bad touch of Aguero creates Jesus part of the goal attack, not an assistant
N.18 delivers a good ball to his teammate N.22, but he doesn't score and the ball is in the net, when N.39 kicks it in - for N.18 is key involvement, not key pass, doesn't matter that he creates a chance for N.22 - still he is part of the goal attack, which is more important
