DEFINITION:
Every ball, which comes by an opposite player
GUIDELINES:
It's used to show that the ball comes from some opposite player's action or after some deflection. It can be added to the offensive events. This attribute vol. Interception (different from the button Interception) is used when there is some action after it, when the ball stays in the player's possession, after the interception and he does some other action next (Pass, Offensive duel, Cross...) - if the ball goes away, just blocked shot/cross/pass, it should be used the button/main event Interception. Loose ball is used when the ball comes from an opposite player, when it's cleared ball, without any idea/target or it comes after some ricochet/deflection from a teammate. Remember, if the ball comes from an opponent, loose ball or interception must be used. The main and easy difference between them is: if there is intercepted directed ball, an opposite player could reach the ball, if our player doesn't take it - it's interception; if there is no opposite player, who can take or reach the ball - it's loose ball.
- both attributes must be used every time, when the ball comes by an opposite player
- both attributes could be used with offensive events - when a player have the possession of the ball (for example could not be added to defensive duel)
- interception should be used, when a player do some steps, some movement, change his position to cuts the trajectory of the ball, goes to intercept it or stays at the right spot, where he thinks the ball will be passed
- interception should be used also, when a player does some action with one touch, except the interception - with the interception the player passes the ball to some teammate with one touch
Interception added to head pass for Haaland
Pique intercepts the opposite cross and passes the ball at the same time - interception must be added to the pass, because there is directed ball and there is an opposite player, behind him
Interception added to the pass of Pique - he cuts the trajectory of the opposite pass
Karius goes forward and clears the ball - interception must be added to launch, because there is a through pass before and the opposite player can reach the ball
The GK of Sweeden goes forward and clears the ball with head after the through pass (chased by Yarmolenko) - also interception must be added
- both attributes must be used every time, when the ball comes by an opposite player
- both attributes could be used with offensive events - when a player have the possession of the ball (for example could not be added to defensive duel)
- loose ball is used, when the ball comes from an opposite player, usually it's cleared ball, without any idea/target, very bad pass or it comes after some ricochet/deflection from a teammate
- loose ball (not interception) must be used every time, when the ball comes from a deflection (could be also by a teammate)
- loose ball (not interception) must be used every time, when the ball comes from the post/cross bar or if it hits the referee before
- if there is high cross at some point, but the ball goes down and the GK catches it close to the ground - it's not exit (probably loose ball/interception to the next action)
Van Dijk looses the aerial duel, Thiago takes and passes the ball next, which comes from the opposite player
The opposite player clears the ball and Pique tries to stop it - loose ball must be added to his bad touch
Pique clears the ball after the opposite cross - there is no opposite player behind him, so loose ball must be added to the launch
Too bad pass from the player of Dinamo and Pique takes the ball and passes it next
Varane clears the ball, which comes from Curtois - doesn't matter that it comes from a teammate, still it's not a pass by him - loose ball must be added to the launch of Varane
When the ball deflects from the cross-bar, loose ball must be added to the next action of Alba, who takes the ball
Neuer saves the shot and the ball goes to his teammate N.32 - loose ball must be added to the pass of N.32, even if the ball comes to him from his teammate, still not a pass by the GK
The ball deflects from the Reus' head and next Haaland passes it with head - loose ball must be added for him, because the ball comes after deflection (doesn't matter that it's from a teammate)
Haaland tries to clear the ball, but not so successful and the ball goes to Hummels, who passes it next - for him must be used loose ball, not interception, because Haaland already player with the ball
N.10 shoots the ball and the shot must be directed in out, so the next action of N.25 must be with loose ball, because of the software algorithm
Saka tries a pass and Goretzka tries to intercepts it - slight deflection, which doesn't change so much the trajectory of the ball, but still he touches it and the next action of Rise must be with loose ball
Rudiger tries to stop the ball, but doesn't do it right, so loose ball must be added to the pass of Hummels next - it's not a directed ball from Rudiger
Goretzka blocks the opposite action and his teammate clears the ball - loose ball must be added for the second player, doesn't matter that the ball comes from a teammate - it's after deflection
N.17 in blue shirt - the ball deflects by him and still continues into the penalty area (the ball's trajectory is not cut) - again, the Interception (slight deflection, but still he touches the ball) for N.17 must be tagged before the cross (which must be tagged like low, not blocked)...also the touch next of N.6 should be with loose ball, not interception
Bad cross and Neuer takes the ball - it's not a shot or dangerous cross to be a save for him, so just loose ball must be added to the hand pass next
N.55 in white shirt wins the aerial duel, but doesn't directs the ball to a teammate...and N.7 in white shirt just runs back to take the nobody's ball before the opposite player - even if the ball comes from a teammate, it's not directed and loose ball should be used in this situation for N.7
The player in red shirt is dribbling in the middle of the pitch, but it's fouled by an opposite player and the referee gives advantage - the ball goes to a teammate, who must do some steps and come back to take it - loose ball should be added, because it's not a directed pass (the ball comes after dribble) and the player must do some efforts to take it
- if a player tries to stop the ball, but not do it well, next tries to reach it again and an opposite player or GK goes to take the ball before him - it's always loose ball, not interception, because it's not a directed pass, but an attempt to stop the ball
- the main and easy difference between them is: if there is intercepted directed ball, an opposite player could reach the ball, if our player doesn't take it - it's interception; if there is no opposite player behind, who can take or reach the ball - it's loose ball
- if there is a cross into the penalty area, a player clears the ball - if there is no opposite player behind, it should be with loose ball, not interception
Interception to the head pass of Pique, not loose ball, because if he doesn't reach the ball, an opposite player could play it behind him
Pique intercepts the opposite cross and passes the ball at the same time - interception must be added to the pass, because there is directed ball and there is an opposite player, behind him
Long pass and Mbappe sprints for the ball and tries to stop it - loose ball must be added next to ter Stegen, not interception, because the ball comes after the bad first touch of Mbappe, but it's not a directed pass by him
Messi directs the ball for Alba, who runs into the penalty area - the opposite defender understands his intention and changes his movement to take the ball with head - interception, not loose ball must be tagged for him, because otherwise Alba will reach the ball
Marquinhos in white shirt - even such a small deflections (after the pass of De Jong) must be tagged like Interception and for the next player, who clears the ball - his action must be with loose ball (2 interceptions, one after another, must be not tagged)
There is a forward pass and Emre Can runs to cover his teammate and shields the ball - loose ball, not interception
There is a through pass by the player of Germany and Pickford goes forward to take the ball before the running player from Germany - he cut's the trajectory of the pass with his forward movement - interception, not loose ball
High through pass and Simon goes forward to take the ball before the opposite player, who chases it - interception, not loose ball for the GK, because if he doesn't go out for that ball, the opposite player may reach it
N.2 from Italy runs and clears the ball in front of the opposite player - always, when there is an opposite player behind, who can reach the ball, interception must be used, not loose ball
The player in red, who touches the ball close to the penalty line - it's touch, loose ball, not interception, because the opposite player's pass is not accurate
N.8 in green shirt kicks the ball forward and N.16 in red shirt passes the ball with head - it's cleared ball, not directed pass by the player in green and loose ball should be added to the head pass (not interception), because the player in red doesn't do any significant movement to intercept it and doesn't matter that there is an opposite player behind - it's not directed ball to him, just he sees that N.16 will reach the ball and comes back to disturb him and help in defense
N.33 in red shirt passes the ball (not so accurate pass) - the opposite player "smells" the situation and predicts the action of N.33 and starts his movement a second before the pass, feeling where the ball will be directed - even if it's not so accurate pass, still the ball could be reached by the opposite player, so interception should be used in this situation, not loose ball
N.21 in blue shirt tries to shoot the ball with head - even if it's not so well directed shot, the GK runs to take the ball before the opposite player, who attacks it too - interception should be used for the GK, not loose ball, doesn't matter that it's not directed pass, still it's a ball, which could be reached by the player (and intercepted by the GK just in front of him)
After the long pass N.4 in white/black shirt runs back to cut it and the ball to be not reached by the opposite player - interception should be used, even if he runs backward, not loose ball
N.26 in white shirt directs the ball to the goal - there is slight deflection first from N.15 in black shirt and then the GK jumps to take it before the opposite player - it should be tagged touch, loose ball for the GK, because 2 interceptions can't be tagged one after another
- vol. interception (different using, but the same meaning like the button Interception) is used, there is directed pass/cross/shot by an opposite player and a player intercepts the ball - there have to be some action after the that, the ball stays in the player's possession and he does some other action next (Pass, Offensive duel, Cross...) - if the ball goes away or out of the pitch, just blocked shot/cross/pass, it should be used the button/main event Interception.
In the same moment, when Pique intercepts the opposite pass, he also directs the ball to a teammate (does some other action too, not only intercepts the ball, bus also passes it) - it should be pass + attribute vol.interception
Again, Pique cuts the opposite pass and directs the ball to his teammate - pass + vol.interception
In this situation, after the shot of Messi, Benzema blocks the shot with head - the ball hits him, he doesn't play it, just blocks the shot, so this is not a head pass + vol. interception, but only Interception
After the pass of N.6 from Bayern, the ball touches Reus and deflects from him - he doesn't react/direct it, so only Interception for him, without head pass
Head pass + vol.interception for de Jong, not only interception, because he clears the ball with head and has enough time to react
The shot of Kroos must be tagged like blocked and the shot (not touch, because attribute goal could be added to shot) of Hazard next (who touches last the ball and scores the goal) must be with interception (because of the previous shot, which should be tagged like blocked)
N.2 from Italy at the end of the clip - he is in front of the opposite player (who could reach the ball, if N.2 does't play it) and he clears the ball after the cross - the ball fly enough long time and he has time to decide how to play it - he kicks the ball, not the ball hits him - pass + vol.interception and clearance
Kante intercepts the opposite pass and the ball stays in his possession - he passes it immediately next (does some other action) almost from the same spot, so the right event must be pass + vol.interception, not only Interception
- if there is whistle (the referee stops the game, because of injured player) and next gives the ball to a player - it's without loose ball
- loose ball/interception are not used after fairplay
- if the ball is in the possession of one team, then there is replay and after that - it's in the possession of the other team - it's not needed to add loose ball to the first event
- loose ball/interception must not be used together with link up play - it's not possible at the same time the ball to comes by an opposite player/deflection or to be directed by a teammate
- interception must not be used in the same situation with anticipation - similar, but different actions
- always must be considered to which player the ball is directed, for example: if there is directed pass to an opposite player, he misses the ball and next a defender takes the ball (still there is another opposite player behind him), it must be loose ball, not interception (doesn't matter that the second player could still reach the ball), because the idea and the target of the pass was the first player
- loose ball is not needed to be added, when there is defensive duel before (the player steals the ball from the opposite player, so it's clear that it comes by an opponent)
- loose ball is not needed after aerial duel for the same player, who participates to the duel
Loose ball is not needed for Azpilicueta to the next event after the aerial duel
Loose ball is not needed after fairplay for Schmeichel, doesn't matter that the ball comes from an opposite player
The players fight for the ball and it goes to Lukaku - it's loose ball, must not be confused with link up play
The player in the middle tries to find N.71 in red shirt, but the pass is not accurate, N.20 in white shirt takes and passes the ball next - doesn't matter that behind them there is another opposite player, the ball is not directed to him, but to N.71, so loose ball must be added to the pass of N.20, not interception
After the dribble of N.80 in blue shirt close to the sideline, N.21 helps him ant takes the ball (left by N.80 for him) - loose ball should be not used for N.21, even if it's not a pass by his teammate, because they still have the possession of the ball and it's left with purpose for him (not just lost or badly touched)
After the first aerial duel there is another one - the defender in red shirt jumps on the back of the attacking player in blue and touches the ball with his back - loose ball is not needed to be added to the pass after that, because there is a duel before it
After the throw in the player in white tries to move in front of his opponent and touches the ball, but his anticipation is not successful, because the ball stays in the possession of the player in purple - loose ball is not needed here too, because it's part of the offensive duel (defensive duel, anticipation, bad for the player in white)
