DEFINITION:
Significant pass, directed behind the opposite defensive line
GUIDELINES:
Direct pass in the empty spaces behind the opposite defensive line, which leads the attacking player against the goalkeeper or in some dangerous position (passes, directed or close to the sideline, are not through pass). This type of passes shows the ideas and creativity of the players, their vision to create opportunities for their teammates. Pass, between 2 or more defenders, in ”czech street”, intelligent passes. It can be added to Smart Pass (if the pass is on the ground or it's over the heads of the opposite players, but it's on short distance – 5-10 meters) and Long Range Kick (when it's high, long pass in the air, behind the defensive line). Again, it's important what is the idea of the player - the pass could goes out or to be intercepted, doesn't matter, still it's through pass.
- direct, sharp pass, behind the opposite defensive line, which leads the attacking player against the goalkeeper or in some dangerous position
- it could be added only to Smart pass (if it's a pass on the ground or it's over the heads of the opposite players, but it's on short distance – 10-15 meters) and Long range kick (if it's a pass at the air and at least 20 meters or more)
- this type of passes shows the ideas and creativity of the players, their vision to create opportunities for their teammates
- pass, between 2 or more defenders, in ”czech street”, intelligent passes

Through pass by De Bruyne into the penalty area
Ground pass behind the defenders by De Bruyne
Through pass into the penalty area by Iniesta - he tries to deliver a good ball for Alba against the opposite GK - the trajectory of the ball is from outside to inside of the pitch/penalty area
N.10 in blue shirt passes the ball behind the defensive line and leads his teammate against the opposite GK
Firmino passes the ball to Salah behind the defensive line (for the pass of Salah to Mane next is not through pass)
Long pass by De Bruyne into the empty space behind the defensive line
The player in red/yellow shirt passes the ball behind the defensive line - even if it's not well visible, according to the run of his teammate, N.9, it's clear that the idea of the pass is to find him behind the line
It's a long directed pass, behind the defensive line (not a cross) by the player in dark shirt, which delivers a good ball for his teammate
Long, through pass behind the defensive line by the player of PSG, because he sees the movement of Mbappe and tries to deliver a good ball for him
It's an attempt for through pass by ter Stegen, not just kicked ball forward - he tries to deliver a good ball behind the line for his teammate - long range kick + through pass
N.2 in green shirt tries to find his teammate (who sprints between the lines) in the empty space behind the opposite defense with long pass - through pass should be added, because of the idea, even if it's not so directly against the opposite GK
- it could be added only to Smart pass (if it's a pass on the ground or it's over the heads of the opposite players, but it's on short distance – 10-15 meters) and Long range kick (if it's a pass at the air and at least 20 meters or more)
Attempt by Braithwaite to pass the ball behind the defenders - smart + through pass here for the creative idea
Bruno passes the ball behind the defensive line into the penalty area - it's not enough long ball to be used long range kick, so through pass must be added to smart pass
- passes, directed or close to the sideline, are not through pass
- if the trajectory of the pass is directed to leads a teammate from outside of the pitch to inside (direction from the wing to the penalty area) - it's through pass; if it's from inside to outside (from the middle of the pitch to the sideline) - not through pass
- must not be used for backward passes
- if it's a pass with head, behind the defensive line (through pass), it should be head pass, not smart pass + through pass
The pass of Benzema is not through pass, because he directs the ball to the wing, not directly against the GK, doesn't matter that it's behind the defensive line
Long range kick behind the defensive line, but not with through pass, because Robertson directs the ball to the wing, not directly against the opposite GK
Not a through pass by N.19 from Liverpool, doesn't matter that it's behind the defensive line - again, the ball is directed close to the side line, the trajectory is not against the opposite goal
Lindelof directs the ball behind the defenders, not against the GK, but to the wing - through pass is not needed here
N.5 passes the ball straight on the wing to Yarmolenko - through pass is not needed
Thiago tries to pass the ball to the left wing, but he doesn't kick the ball very well, it goes directly to the opposite GK - his idea is not to do a through pass, so it's not needed here
When there is through pass with head (the player in orange/pink shirt) - it's always head pass (without through pass, because this option is not choosable in combination with head pass)
The pass of N.6 in white shirt is smart, but not through pass, because the player delivers a ball to the running teammate not against the opposite GK or in directly dangerous zone - his teammate runs from inside to outside of the pitch and he takes the ball with his back to the goal, not opened straight to it and he is not able to shoot directly
N.8 in red shirt passes the ball forward, but through pass is not needed here, because his teammate reaches the ball with his back to the goal, he is not direct danger against the opposite goalkeeper
N.6 in red shirt at the end of the clip tries to do a long diagonal pass, directed to his teammate - the target is N.10, who is not so close to the goal...even if he receives the ball, he will not be direct danger to the goal, so through pass is not needed here
- it's important what is the idea of the player - the pass could goes out or to be intercepted, doesn't matter, still it's through pass
N.8 passes the ball behind the defensive line - even if there is offside, the idea is important - through pass must be tagged for him
Bonuci passes the ball behind the defenders, but the pass is too long - still this is an attempt for though pass, doesn't matter that it's not successful and reached by a teammate
Barella passes the ball from the wing against the GK - the trajectory of the ball is from outside to inside of the pitch with the idea to deliver a ball for his teammate against the opposite GK - even if it's not reached, through pass must be tagged
Donnarumma directs the ball behind the line and it is cleared - still through pass must be added
Laporte tries to deliver a good ball for Alba into the penalty area, behind the opposite defender - though pass must be added, because if he takes the ball, he will be direct danger for goal, doesn't matter that the ball goes out of the pitch
