DEFINITION:
Every shot against the opposite goal (attempt to score a goal)
GUIDELINES:
It's used, when there is a shot, the player shoots and tries to score - an attempt for a goal. It's shown also where is directed the shot – inside in the goal, in the cross bar/posts or in out.
- every attempt to score a goal from play
- usually it's with foot or head (could be also with body part)
- exact position of the shot must be shown, where it's directed in the goal (if it's intercepted, it must be tagged like blocked)
Shot with right foot by Sterling
Shot with left foot by Haaland
Shot with right foot by Haaland
Blocked shot with left foot by Haaland
Shot with head by Haaland
Long shot with right foot by De Bruyne, saved by the GK (not directed in the post)
Really good long shot with right foot by Kroos
Shot with head by N.10 (directed in out) and shot by N.26 next, directed in the post
After the cross into the penalty area, there is a shot next. The side referee raises his flag, because there is an offside, but the referee lets the game continue, giving advantage - in that case the shot must be tagged, because the offside is not whistled and the shot will be in the official stats of the game
N.11 in blue/white shirt shots (better visible on the replay) and the GK touches very slight the ball - the shot must be directed in goal, not in the cross-bar, because there is a touch by the GK before (also reflex tagged for him)
- if there is slight deflection by an opposite player after the shot, but the ball still goes against the goal - the shot must be tagged not like blocked, but in goal (the interception to the opposite player must be tagged 1 second before the shot, to avoid software mistake)
The shot of Kroos must be tagged like blocked and the shot (not touch, because attribute goal could be added to shot) of Hazard next (who touches last the ball and scores the goal) must be with interception (because of the previous shot, which should be tagged like blocked)
N.13 from Ukraine tries to block the shot and there is slight deflection from him (still important deflection, which doesn't allow to his GK to react better and leads to a goal at the end - if the deflection was missing, probably the GK would save the shot) - it's significant deflection, which can't be skipped and yet the shot of Forsberg must be tagged in goal, not like blocked, so the Interception of the player must be tagged 1 second before the shot and goal to the shot, to be avoided software mistake and both actions to be visible
Fati shots and the ball slightly deflects from the opposite defender and goes near the post - the trajectory of the shot is not changed so much and the ball goes dangerously - the shot must be tagged near the post, not like blocked and the interception of the opposite defender must be tagged before the shot to avoid software mistake
The shot for the goal should be directed going in goal, where the ball crosses the goal-line - in the right, low corner of the goal for the GK
- if there is an attempt for cross, but the ball goes in the net - doesn't matter what is the intention of the player, it should be tagged like a shot (only there we have option goal with the attributes)
- if there is blocked ball into the penalty area from close distance and small angle, not clear if the player tries to shoot or cross the ball, consider the trajectory of the ball - is the player tries to direct it against goal, could be a shot; if he tries to direct it backward from the line of the ball - it should be a cross
Mount dribbles and tries to cross the ball, but the ball goes dangerously and the GK saves it - always must be considered the idea of the player (if there is not a goal) and cross must be tagged here, not a shot
Sanchez from Inter - after his dribble, he tries to do some action - in situations like that, when it's difficult to understand what a player tries to do, must be considered some other things - are there any teammates near by and does the player look for a free one before or looks all the time the ground...in this situation, better to be tagged is shot, not a cross, because he plays individually and doesn't looks for a teammate
In this situation must be tagged shot, not a cross, because there is a goal scored by the player in black/red shirt - doesn't matter that his idea is to cross the ball, it must be tagged shot, because goal can't be added to event cross
Coutinho tries to find Aguero, not to shoot that ball - doesn't matter that it almost went into the goal, still it's not an attempt for shooting and must be tagged not like shot - we have to consider what is his idea
The player in yellow shirt tries to cross the ball, not to shoot it, doesn't matter that it goes directly in goal and the GK saves it - always consider the idea of the player, that's why this should be tagged like cross, not a shot (the only exception could be if there was a goal in this situation, because there is no option "goal" to the cross)
The goal of Lewandowski comes from a good example of a shot + assist by Raphina, not a cross, because Raphina tries to shoot the ball, his idea is not to cross it
- if a player tries to shoot the ball, but misses it - it should be touch + ball missed, not a shot + bad...if he touches it, but do a very bad shot - the it should be shot + bad
N.10 in white shirt - doesn't matter that the ball reaches his teammate and he shoots, still the idea of N.10 is to shoot the ball, not to pass it - it must be head shot here
The player in purple shirt tries to shoot the ball, but he misses it - it's not a shot, because he doesn't shoot the ball (just tries to do it), bust still it's a good chance, so the best option here is touch + ball missed + opportunity (and bad) - if it's tagged like a shot, it will appear in the stats like shot, which obviously is not
N.8 in red shirt tries to shoot the ball (not very well), but still he is able to kick it and gives some direction - this should be tagged like shot, not touch
Even if the ball comes from a deflection after an attempt to be cleared, it goes directly and dangerously in the goal and the goalkeeper reacts to save it - it's not a shot, but still it's a save (there will be no software mistake)...shot, in situation like that, could be only if there is a goal (because goal is not possible option to interception)
- blocked shot - when a player shoots and an opposite player (in some rare situation a teammate) block his shot
Even when a shot is blocked from close distance, still must be tagged - N.21 in red
Blocked shot with left foot by Haaland
N.21 from Atletico shoots and Pique blocks the shot
Blocked shot by Maguire
The shot of Kroos must be tagged like blocked and the shot (not touch, because attribute goal could be added to shot) of Hazard next (who touches last the ball and scores the goal) must be with interception (because of the previous shot, which should be tagged like blocked)...other option could be the shot of Kroos to be tagged directed in out, not like blocked and loose ball to be added to the shot of Hazard next
N.27 in black shirt shoots the ball (not very well) and next and opposite player clears it - the shot is not accurate and it should be directed in out, not like blocked (also loose ball, not interception for the opposite player)
N.10 in yellow shoots and an opposite player blocks the shot - it should be blocked, not in goal, doesn't matter that the GK is not on the goal line and there is an opposite player near by - it's blocked shot
