Kilworth House Theatre is the brainchild of owner and Producer Celia Mackay. Opened in 2007, set in a beautiful, wooded glade close to the lake in the grounds of Kilworth House Hotel in south Leicestershire. This stunning open-air theatre is dedicated to producing and presenting large scale professional musical theatre and was recognised in the national press as one of the Best Outdoor Theatres in the UK. The audience and stage are covered with canopies so you should not get wet (or sunstroke!).
The Club is delighted to have secured tickets for 42nd Street, an all-time family favourite show. This quintessential Broadway classic transports you to the golden age of musical theatre, where dreams were just a tap dance away.
The story follows the journey of a small-town girl, Peggy Sawyer, who arrives in New York City ready to make her big break.
An unforgettable score is filled with classics such as “We’re in the Money” “Lullaby of Broadway”, “Shuffle off to Buffalo”, and the title track "42nd Street". This multi award-winning show is a celebration of hope, ambition, and the magic of show business. Delight in the dazzling choreography and vibrant performances brought to life by a talented cast of West End performers.
