Activity Group Secretary's 2019 AGM report

2018.

I was a little disappointed with the number of people who went on our trips in 2018. We put a lot of time looking everything up, I worked with Brian Law.

The RHS flower Show was lovely but the number of trip participants was below what we planned for.

The January Warners holiday was very popular as always, but the numbers attending the late summer holiday in Folkestone were down.

Talking to a member of one of the companies we use to book holidays, I learnt other organisations were having the same challenge, all of their outings were undersold.

2019.

We had a good start with the January Warners holiday again, but a very disappointing turn out  for our theatre visit to see the Band, which was all about the music of Take That.

It was a lovely story, a shame so few came along.

For the 2 rivers trip in May we have a good participation planned, so I am very pleased about that.

We also have more people booked for the Isle of Wight late summer holiday, which is encouraging.

The other trips and visits are filling up, so let’s hope we are through the worst and 2019 will be a better year than 2018.
