Jill Afford has decided it is time to step back from organising the Long Service trips, and has resigned from the Committee after more than 20 years of faithful service and two terms as President, in 2002 and 2006. Many members and guests who have benefited from Jill's dedication and knowledge in leading our trips for the last 10 years will want to join the PLSC Executive Committee in expressing our thanks and appreciation to Jill.

Jill engaged with (and no doubt will continue to engage with) a wide circle of friends whom she encouraged to come on the day trips and holidays, which sadly have had to be suspended for the last year and are unlikely to be viable again until next year.

Jill still plans to join our trips, and our best wishes go to her as she puts her feet up for a well earned rest!
