EVENT NUMBER 12, Christmas Market
Birmingham – Saturday 28th November 2026 – Price £31
Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is a firm fixture in the city’s annual calendar and a massive favourite with both residents and visitors to the city from across the UK and Europe. Birmingham comes alive every winter with the arrival of the Market, a clear sign that Christmas is just around the corner. The stalls on Victoria Square and New Street offer something for everyone.
The largest authentic Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria, the Christmas Market offers a large range of traditional gifts and a selection of tempting food and drink. Pretzels, bratwurst, and roasted almonds will tempt your tastebuds, all of which can be washed down with gluhwein, weissbeer (wheat beer), or tasty hot chocolate.
It is a great opportunity to pick up some presents for your family and friends with everything from handcrafted wooden decorations, beautiful eco-friendly star lights and delicate glass baubles to the ever-favourite crystal lamps, toys, and much more besides! And if you just want to relax a while, there is also a live music programme on Victoria Square.
As well as the Christmas markets, there are a lot of shops centred around the Bull Ring, including the iconic Selfridges which was unveiled in 2003 and is a masterpiece of modern architecture. There are numerous dining opportunities to suit all tastes.
And if shopping isn’t your thing, you can visit the famous Jewellery Quarter or head over to Brindley Place situated alongside Birmingham’s famous canal network.
Setting off from Peterborough at 9.00 am, with a comfort stop on route, we anticipate arriving in Birmingham around 12 noon.
