We have matinee tickets for the 2.30pm performance of the musical Mean Girls at the Theatre Royal. Mean Girls, the musical, follows Cady Heron, a teenage girl navigating the treacherous social hierarchy of high school after moving from Africa, as she becomes entangled with the popular clique known as “The Plastics”
The musical is based on the 2004 film written by Tina Fey, it premiered on Broadway in 2018 and has since gained popularity for its catchy songs and relatable themes of friendship and identity.
Setting off from Peterborough at 9.00 am, with a comfort stop en route we plan to arrive in Norwich around 11.30 am where there will be time before the show to explore the beautiful city centre and have some lunch.
In the heart of Norwich is one of the UK’s oldest and most iconic open-air markets. With over 190 stalls trading Monday to Saturday, Norwich Market is a kaleidoscope of colour, culture, and community - offering everything from sizzling street food to vintage fashion, handcrafted gifts, and fresh local produce.
Jarrolds department store on London Street, is regarded as the region's favourite independent department store and is one of the most renowned landmarks in Norfolk. Jarrolds has several stores around Norwich and Norfolk, and has been a part of Norfolk life for over 200 years.
As well as having a castle, Norwich boasts having two cathedrals; Norwich Cathedral and the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist. Norwich is one of the few English cities with two cathedrals.
The coach will leave Norwich after the show at 5.30 pm. There will be a comfort break on the way home and we expect to arrive back in Peterborough around 8.00 pm
