How to Use Pierpont Printers

Steps to use Pierpont's printers with images

Step 1:

Log on to a Pierpont computer with your student username/UCA and password.

NOTE:  You can only use Pierpont computers, not personal computers, to print on Pierpont printers.

Step 2:

Access the document you would like to print - this could be a Word Document, PDF, photo, content from a jump drive, through your Pierpont OneDrive account, email. etc.

(This example will be for a Word Document.)

Step 3:

Click "File" in the top right corner and select "Print" from the menu that pops up.

Step 4:

Check that the printer selected is "Papercut On PCTC-App-01."

Step 5:

Make sure all of your settings are correct.

Step 6:

Click "Print."

Step 7:

Lock the computer you are using and go to any Pierpont PaperCut printer - they are labeled (see below).

Step 8:

Use the touch screen to log in to the printer with your student username/UCA and password. Click "Log in" when finished.

Step 9:

Double check your printer settings by clicking "Print Release"

Then click the ">" symbol.

You can make some small changes on this page such as: the number of copies and the color/greyscale.

Printing charges will show up on your ROAR account.

If you see another fee amount, feel that your print charges are inaccurate, would like to pay the charges, or have other questions, contact Student Accounts.

Step 10:

If everything looks correct, click "Print." You will get a confirmation message at the bottom of the screen. Your document will print now.

Step 11:

When you are finished, be sure to sign out of the printer by clicking the exit button in the top right corner.

Step 12:

Collect your documents. If you did not close everything on the computer you were using, go back to the computer to close everything and sign off of the computer.
