Taking Pictures to PDF

Another option is to take a picture of your assignment (ex., word document, project, your dog, etc.) using your cell phone, emailing it to yourself, and saving it as a PDF.  

Step 1:

Take a picture of your work - make sure that the work is well-lit so everything is easily seen.

Step 2:

Send the picture(s) to your email -OR- save the picture(s) in  Notes (iPhone) or Memos (Android) on your phone and send them to your email that way 

Step 3:

Get the picture of your work from your email and paste it into a Word or Google Doc document. 

Step 4:

Go to 'File', then 'Print', and save your work as a PDF document.

Step 5:

Turn in the PDF as directed by your instructor (e.g., email to your instructor, upload the PDF to Blackboard).

If you need to upload an assignment, a picture, or another item as a PDF,  CamScanner is a free app that helps users scan, edit, store, and make it available across smartphones, iPads, tablets, and computers. 

It can convert a PDF to a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, etc.


Adobe Acrobat

Using your mouse, you can drag your Word file from your computer desktop to the Adobe Acrobat program that you open online.
