Pearson MyLab Math is used in MTH 1208 and 1209 courses.
It is an online course management platform where students complete their homework assignments and take quizzes and exams.
Your instructor should provide you with a web link and instructions for registering for MyLab. (If you do not receive the link, contact your instructor as soon as possible.)
There is a free e-book that is available through MyLab Math. Students do not need to purchase a separate textbook.
How to purchase
Pearson and Pearson MyLab Math
To Purchase the Pearson MyLab Math through Pearson's website...
To register for MTH1208:
The link to create your Pearson student account will be provided to you by your instructor.
When you go to the website using the link, sign in with your Pearson student account (if you already have one) or create your account.
Select any available access option, if asked.
Enter a prepaid access code that came with your textbook or from Pierpont's Campus Store (bookstore).
Buy instant access (through the Publisher) using a credit card or PayPal.
Select 'Get temporary access' without payment for 14 days. (Choose this option if you need more time to have funds available to purchase the access code)
Select 'Go to my course.'
Select MTH1208 from My Courses.
To sign in later:
Go to https://mlm.pearson.com.
Sign in with the same Pearson student account you created and used before.
Select MTH1208 from My Courses.
If you are not using financial aid to pay for the book and access code (paying 'out of pocket' using your own money), you can also purchase the access code when you register for MyLab. This option is cheaper than purchasing the access code from Pierpont's Campus Store (bookstore).
Also, there is an option to "get temporary access". This gives you two weeks of free access before you are required to purchase and enter the access code. Just select the "get temporary access" option during registration.
Pierpont's Campus Store (bookstore)
If you are only required to take MTH 1208, then you will purchase the 18-week access code.
If you have to take both MTH 1208 and 1209 for your program, then you will purchase the 24-month access code. Even though it says "24 months" the access code is good for more than that time period.
This access code is available through the bookstore. If you choose to purchase it this way, you can use your financial aid to purchase the access code. (When you check out on Pierpont's Campus Store (bookstore), you provide information about your Pierpont financial aid.
Customers purchasing access codes from Pierpont's bookstore may receive a code from RedShelf. After purchasing, they will need to log into BryteWave to enter the RedShelf code. This will give you your Pearson access code.
