On Wednesday, November 27, Nepean once again had the pleasure of hosting The Spaniel's Tale, one of Ottawa's fantastic independent bookstores. The sale took place in the library from 9am to 3pm, and teachers signed up their classes to visit throughout the day. The book store offered a wide selection of items to buy for yourself, a friend, a family member or anyone else! Spread across the tables were all types of books: fiction, like A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson; non-fiction, such as Century of Song by Noah Lefevre; brand new books, namely Intermezzo by Sally Rooney; older, classic books, like The Odyssey by Homer; as well as books for all age groups. Of course, that wasn't all, there was also a plethora of fun and affordable trinkets and games to keep you occupied during the upcoming Winter break. Personally, I got a signed book by Stephanie Garber, a New York Times bestselling author—my first signed book ever! If you found yourself hoping this event would be longer, good news! The Spaniel's Tale is close by at 1131 Wellington Street West—not too far from our school, so you can check out their larger collection at your convenience.
