On Thursday, May 22nd, Nepean High School held the Spring Carnival again. It started at 11:10am and went until 1:05pm, giving us an extended lunch, which I know all Nepean students were grateful for, whether or not they actually attended the carnival this year. The Spring Carnival usually takes place outside, but the 22nd unfortunately had bad weather and the event had to be moved indoors. Thankfully, the barbeque was still able to take place, and a number of clubs were set up in the gym for some entertaining activities. There was still an impressive turnout, particularly for the free hotdogs and freezies, and the upbeat music playing in the cafeteria made for a fun atmosphere. Knightwatch was one of the clubs that participated, as we did last year. We set up a booth in the cafeteria, where we had books anyone could stop by and read (comics predominantly) and a writing challenge that anyone could participate in (where each person added to the sentence that the last person wrote down, in order to create a distinctive story). We can't wait for the tradition to continue next year! A big thanks to our Student Council for organising this event, as well as the many clubs that participated!
