On Thursday, April 24th, Nepean High School brought back Oscars Night, aptly renamed "A Knight at the Oscars" in honour of our school mascot. It started at 5:30pm and went until after 8pm. The awards ceremony itself began at 6:15pm, but before that, attendees were able to sip on sparkling "champagne" (Ginger Ale), get their photos taken by the yearbook club, and be interviewed by Knightwatch. Not to mention walk the red carpet! Once the ceremony started, awards were handed out in a variety of categories: most spirited, best style, funniest comedian, etc. All grades were able to vote on who received these awards, and though most results were expected, some were surprising. During intermission, there were several incredible musical performances and even some stand-up comedy. The night ended with some more trophies being handed out, this time based on luck! Those who had the lucky tickets got to go home with surprise Oscars. A big thanks to our Student Council for organising this event, as well as the many clubs that participated!
