Do you have a passion for singing? Do you love the story of a certain musical governess taking care of children in Austria? Are you interested in making a start, or continuing in musical theatre? Then you should consider auditioning for Nepean High School’s production of The Sound of Music!
Auditions are October 16 and 17, after school. They will be held in the school auditorium, so tune up your vocal cords and take a chance on the big stage!
Don’t worry about bringing a prepared monologue or piece of music – in the auditorium, you will be given a piece of the script.
The auditions will be individual, which, to my knowledge, is a bit different from last year’s auditions for Clue.
Nepean High School’s The Sound of Music will be performed May 21-24, three nights only with a Saturday matinée.
Lots of fun is to be had getting involved in this production, but if you don’t get a part or would not like to perform, there may be some positions behind the scenes! This would entail participating in stage crew, being an usher or managing the concession stand. More details are to come about participating in The Sound of Music surreptitiously.
So audition next Wednesday/Thursday! And be a part of the dazzling success The Sound of Music is sure to be!
