One Acts

Earlier this year, during the month of January, the senior drama class of Nepean High School presented the 2023–2024 school year One Acts. With the help of several talented students and the teachers of the Nepean Drama Department, all of the One Acts that were exhibited turned out to be brilliant performances that displayed all of the hard work that was put into producing these plays.

The plays that were performed were ‘The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon', ‘Appropriate Audience Behavior’, and’ Instructions for Hugs’, which were all produced by Grade 12 students in the senior drama class. These plays were all unique and took inspiration from famous storylines like ‘Hansel and Gretel’, ‘Snow White’, and ‘Hamlet’. Regardless, these plays were the result of the combined effort of the senior drama students that allowed them to pull off these successful performances.

Each play kept true to its name and was only one ‘act’ long, with each play being performed one after the other. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon was a bit different, as it was two acts long instead of one; therefore, it was split in two and was both the first and last performance of the night. The two other acts, Instructions for Hugs and Appropriate Audience Behavior, were performed in between those two acts, summing up the night’s performances.

These performances happen each and every year, so we hope to see much support for the Nepean Drama Department for the One Acts of the 2024-2025 school year!
